ATC

Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards or 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches (63 mm X 89 mm).
The cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.),
paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals.

Those
small pieces of artwork are created for the sole purpose of trading with other artists.
The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold.

"An Angel For You"

ATC from Beth Meador

My first ATC "An Angel For You"

Here you can see the first ATC (Artist Trading Card) which I have received, created by my dear friend Beth Meador. This card is a treasure for me. I love this wonderful painting of an angel.
Beth is
legally blind and will eventually go completely blind.
There is no way to know when that will happen,  but she has had a decrease in vision over the last couple of years and is down to 1% of vison remaining.
She has  a hereditary condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa. That can sometimes be confusing to people when they meet her.
Beth has severe night-blindness and almost complete tunnel vision. Her central vision can be corrected to 20/30 with glasses which gives individuals with RP the nickname "the sighted blind".
Beth says, that she has been blessed with a talent and will continue working with her  artwork until she can no longer see light.
She enjoys working with pencil sketching and acrylics and is in the process of including watercolors to her art.
Beth believes, that working with her art keeps her eyes well trained and keeps her spirits high and is a great way to show people that just because she is legally blind, she is still capable.

Beth  has set herself a goal. Before she is getting blind and  can no longer does her art, her lifes pleasure, she would like to have a little piece of her artwork all around the globe.
Beth is hoping to have at least one ATC in every continent of the globe to raise awareness about blindness.

If you are interested to receive an ATC from Beth to help her reach her goal,  feel free to visit her websites and send her a message:
